Description: The College of Health Sciences seeks applications for the position of part-time Faculty, Physician Assistant Program. Bethel’s PA Program provides master's level education for physician assistant students. Founded in 1842, the university is located in rural northwest Tennessee, where the cost of living is low and recreational activities are abundant.
The College of Health Sciences offers programs that lead to degrees in Physician Assistant Studies, Nursing and Athletic Training.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include teaching and evaluating students. Participate in Committee activities and provide advising and academic counseling of students. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum for PA education. Work with the program and college leadership to maintain continued accreditation. Work with the Clinical Director to plan and coordinate the clinical rotation components of the PA Program.
Qualifications: Experience educating PA students either as a clinical preceptor or as a faculty member is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively is essential. The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PA Program, possess a graduate degree, (master's or doctorate), be NCCPA certified with appropriate clinical practice experience, and hold a current PA license in Tennessee or be eligible for licensure. Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Candidates must also: exhibit abilities in planning and organization; possess a solid work ethic, a positive attitude, a sense of humor; be resourceful and computer literate. Some travel is required.
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience. This position is part-time.
